Welcome! I am the J.M. in J.M. Lasley, New Adult Fantasy Author of Scorn and Shadow.

 I love complicated heroines and the brooding heroes and beautiful women who love them. My stories explore themes of belonging, identity, freedom, and love amid magic, mystery, and political mayhem. I write Fantasy and Sci-fi with the occasional foray into horror.

Talented thief and wind-spinner Emerald has been stealing heirlooms to pay her apprentice debt to the master thief.

But a chance run-in with her childhood crush, now one Knight Captain Owyn Tramaine, leads to her arrest and the revelation that she is, in fact, Lady Keira Azfarran—the eldest daughter of the noble Azfarran line.
